Marcelo Demarco presents 7 Days of Tequila EP, including Darren Doherty remix

Marcelo Demarco

6th March 2012: SURO Records has set a release date of Wednesday 18th April for the first Marcelo Demarco EP: “7 Days of Tequila”.  The EP, produced by the South American DJ will be distributed exclusively on Beatport and Juno on a digital format.

The pack contains three original tracks plus one remix, starting with “Monday Morning” a piece full of percussive elements, bouncing on a solid bass line along with a mischievous piano chord.  The second track “High and Dry” is dramatic from the start and then explodes with the introduction of  a powerful bass sound  that grooves around a vintage organ riff.  This gives way to an acid synth, complemented with some delicious percussive drums that take you to a climax in a very creative way.  On the third track the producer presents an hypnotic  groove without too much introduction, that moves from a dark synth to a filtered voice adorned with a smooth sax that rides on the diverse components revealing the secret dialogue between the two characters vocals.  Last but not least, the impeccable remix of “Under my Skin” where Darren Doherty has put the Irish flavour on this version.  Full of texture the strong sub bass stands out and carries a wonderful dark feeling, accompanied with a deep sense of musicality.

TrackList:

1 Marcelo Demarco – Monday Morning (Original Mix)

2 Marcelo Demarco – Under my Skin (Original Mix)

3 Marcelo Demarco – Under my Skin (Darren Doherty Remix)

4 Marcelo Demarco – High & Dry (Original Mix)

An Android dialogue from SexiBeats Records

Automatik_sb013

Established Producer and Founder of South American Tech House Label, ‘SexiBeats’ – Marcelo Demarco releases ‘AutoMatik’, another impressive journey from the deep into the hedonistic groovy underground.  And hot on the heels of their summer release ‘Dr Voodoo’ which attracted support from many artists like Marco Carola, Richie Hawtin and Luciano and positive interest from international music press and radio.

The AutoMatik Marcelo Demarco Original Mix will lure you into the future with a solid Latin American bassline and intelligent, futuristic inspired percussions whilst seeing you caught up in the continuous dialogue between the deep sound of the South and the heart-felt yearnings of an android bitch – AutoMatik! But don’t be fooled – she’s a serial tease.

To complement the pack – Chilean DJ / Producer Niko Rivera turns the pressure up with a dominatrix style late night sessions mix ‘The Niko Rivera Peak Hour Remix’.  And Irish DJ / Producer Darren Doherty uses a playful take on the bassline to bring back AutoMatik from its tech-house tendencies to its deepest roots with ‘The Darren Doherty Remix.’

Overall, another solid pack from SexiBeats and another release to count towards Marcelo Demarco’s growing ambition to bring a new vibration from South America to an eclectic crowd looking for a deep tech-house sound with cultural echoes to connect to.

Great Dj & Media support.
